The Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass. The Art Alliance informs the public, including collectors, critics and curators, by encouraging and supporting museum and art center glass exhibitions, and public programs and regional collector groups.

AACG awards grants annually to arts organizations in support of specific educational purposes. Since 1991, AACG has awarded more than $880,000 in grants to more than 290 museum exhibitions of contemporary art glass, catalogs and panel discussions in connection with exhibitions, and traveling exhibitions. AACG presents an annual award to an organization, honoring its contributions to the contemporary glass movement, with an unrestricted grant and sponsorship of a public lecture at SOFA Chicago. The organization also presents annual Honors Awards at SOFA Chicago to individuals of outstanding accomplishment in the field of contemporary glass art.
